Feeling comfortable and cosy!
Today's comfort-accessory, my "oldie but goldie" plaid scarf!
I got this scarf when I was in my second year of University, 17 years ago!!! and I still find it fashionable! I love the yellow-mustard colour mixed with brown and turquoise lines and its extremely comfy. Besides fashion, it also brings me back good memories from University!
More fall decorations...
As I mentioned in my previous post, I bought 3 cute pumpkins to add to my fall deco. Furthermore, my husband had this candle lying around from his time as a student that I think looks like a pumpkin.. and the colours couldn't be more appropriate for fall!! so I decided to use it also.
Here is my updated home fall-deco:
Our lime-green cabinet that I love so much was bought in a vintage shop, in the UK, for 120 quid!!
And added the pumpkins to my table centrepiece:
Craft projects:
When we moved to the UK, my mother-in-law gave us a key-older for our new house however, we never used it as first, our rent contract (as most in the UK) didn't allow nails on the walls and second, we would most likely forget the keys there... hence I decided to give it a new function!
Also, I bought the rotative-glass plate from the pic in our local thrift shop (2 euros) but I did not like the print so I decided to change it.
First, I washed the items in order to remove dust and any other residuals. I actually used the same product we used to clean our walls before painting.
Then, I protected the parts I did not want to paint with masking tape.
Then, I painted the items with this charcoal paint:
Important tips: use a mask, do it inside a card-box, outside and preferably when its not too windy......
After a few layers, here is the end result:
The former key holder is now used in our kitchen to hang stuff!
The birthday of my good friend V is coming up so I made her a card. Of late I don't buy cards (birthday, Christmas etc.) anymore as I prefer to do it myself. Its a more personal option and definitely cheaper!
Using stamps bought at Action (the set in the pic. was 1,89 euros!!) and same origami paper (I love origami paper!!) bought a while back, in Sweden, here's how it looks:
Still have to add happy birthday...
Have a lovely day!
