Hello everybody,
Wow, it has been more than a month since I posted something!!!!
I will just sum up the most important, here goes:
Regarding the job interview, I had to make a presentation in front of several committee members (10-12). The presentation itself went OK as I practice a lot but I had a really bad feeling when the
interview ended. I don't think they liked it/me. It will take sometime until I get the answer and meanwhile have been applying to other jobs but it sucks!! Everybody keeps telling me to enjoy the last weeks of the pregnancy but I fear for my professional future. As time passes by it will not get easier to find a job...
My belly and baby are growing at a steady pace, here I am at 32-weeks:
This "top" used to be a dress...bought in a second-hand market in Sweden!! This trousers, the only ones that fit me right now, were bought in Portugal more than 10 years ago!!!
And this is me now, 37-weeks:
From 37-weeks on all bets are off and the baby can came at any moment!!!
We had a small hiccup in the meantime, he hadn't turned down by week 36 and it had to be done at the hospital. Regarding the version (the procedure where a midwife or a gynaecologist manually turn the baby, head down) it went very well. The first attempt with the midwife did not work but at the hospital it was successful. I know it depends from woman to woman but for me it didn't hurt as much as I though and with the breathing relaxation techniques learned during the hypnobirthing course I was able to keep myself relaxed, very important in this procedure. So if your baby is in breach (head up when he should be with his head in your pelvis), do consider this option. If needed, I would do it again.
Apart from that, yes, I feel more tired than ever; if I push a bit more physically my back and legs hurt a lot; I have sausage fingers and my ankles are very swallow but nothing out of the ordinary.
I have been keeping myself busy. I have my list as mentioned before that I am trying to go through as fast as possible.
With some leftover yarn I made this little hat (adaptation of the pattern found in the book presented in the "Knitting tools "post).
I have also been working in a babymat which I finally finished yesterday!!!!!!!
Choosing the pattern I wanted (and in the end did not follow...why do I always do this!!)
Trying to sew but someone apparently needs attention ASAP !!!!
In between any action iron, iron, iron!
Finally done!
It is farrrrrrrrrrrr from perfect!! But it serves the purpose, after all I am still learning the ropes around sewing.
Apart from things for the baby, I finally made lemon-curd and rhubarb curd!!
The curds turned out quite tasty. The lemon curd specially got several compliments and it was quite simply to make. I followed the recipe from: http://blog.hobbycraft.co.uk/make-lemon-curd/ with the exception that I used 1 less egg. Do try it if you have the time.
As for the rhubarb curd, I used this recipe: http://www.thekitchn.com/recipe-rhubarb-curdrecipes-from-the-kitchn-172075 . Not as impressed, the rhubarb taste is quite mild and does not come much across in the curd.
Both curds are quite sweet but go very well with Greek yogurt.
Also, finally tried the "Blue band" cookie shapes, if you are in the Netherlands you know what I am talking about. They are very good, the imprint turns out good even after the oven although, I think they will work better when using a dough that rises less.

We/ our baby also received very nice gifts:
A box from my in-laws:
Anti-cat! Surprisingly she hasn't gone near the box!!
A beautiful quilt made by my mother-in-law:
This gorgeous
Which fits perfectly with our colour-scheme
A "baby's first year" book from me.
With one of the free baby-boxes I got a pregnancy agenda/diary but I am not a diary kind of person. However, when my friend M. showed me her "baby first year" book made by her mother, I fell in love with the idea of registering small but important details so that later my son can have it.
Thrifty-store treasure bought today (2 euros!). I think its homemade, love the simplicity of it and it has lots of charm. I hope he likes, even thought its not very colourful/shining!
As for our feline daughter, she continues to be a little devil.
Protesting!!
Trying to go to work with dad??!!
Misbehaving!! Mom and dad drink water from glasses so shell I ??!
Still enjoying the little things:
My husband's imprint!!!
Good company and good tea! M&A brought to our game evening a tea-flower. It was amazing to see the flower blossom in the hot water:
That's it for now,

Indoor Spring! I bought this violet on my first year in Sweden (2008) and I am always baffled by the intensity of the colour and originality of the petal shape.
