Even thought we are still tooling around our new rented apartment it starts to look like a home.
One thing that was missing was a coat-hanger. Our apartment has no cabinet space besides the few existing in the kitchen... so me and my husband decided to design and make one ourselves.
I had this beautiful stag head-hanger (bought in Norwich) that I wanted to incorporate and in IKEA
Next we got a piece of pine wood at our local DIY store GAMMA and some wood paint as we wanted an oak-like colour (like the background on the pictures above).
We decided on 1 meter long coat-hanger with the individual hangers, the stag as the centre piece, spaced equally. After painting the wood looked really beautiful and the final result also!
You may notice that the last (most right) hanger is not aligned and this is a problem with the hanger. ..(if you plan to buy these hangers at IKEA, this is something you should pay attention to).We did not notice at IKEA that the central piece (where you actually hold the coat) is placed a bit higher than in the rest and as its welded in the back, we can not do anything...
but we can hide it..
Since today we travel to Arnhem here are my pics for my Mindful project days#8 and 9:
The Mindful project day#8
Pampering myself! The products you use or rituals don't really matter as long and it makes you fell good!
The Mindful project day#9
A nice and simple food treat! Yumm! Particularly good when you share it with someone you love!
Big, warm, made-on-the-spot stroopwaffel at the market of Arnhem
