Colour Therapy

Hello,

Recently I heard about colour therapy for adults and was intrigued.

The idea behind is that it helps you clear your thoughts and relax. You can read about it  here: http://www.ctvnews.ca/lifestyle/colour-therapy-adult-colouring-books-focus-on-anti-stress-benefits-1.2270403

There are already a few books available and last weekend I actually looked at a few in our local bookstore. I found the drawings beautiful and, as I skimmed through the book I though that, after colouring, a few would make amazing wall-art.

I didn't buy one because I found them a bit pricy (as much as I believe we should support bookstores because of their character and the human contact, these books are much cheaper at Amazon...) however, I did download two colouring pages from the Hobbycraft website and decided to try.

Here is how it looked before:

After some colouring:

And this is how it looks now:

The gold colour is shinny and so are the big flowers (silverfish with glitter).

Looking back, I found it to be a mindfulness activity and I enjoyed it. In the link that I provide above, they write that "(...) can lower anxiety, stabilize mood, increase attention span (...)" maybe it does, I need to colour for a longer time to be able to reach the same conclusions! In any case, I liked it.

So, if you want to try it here are two colouring pages that you can download.

Have a lovely day
